Welcome to Essential Cleaning! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website (https://www.essentialcleaningpdx.com) and the cleaning services we provide. By booking a service with us, you agree to these Terms.
1. Definitions
- “Company” refers to Essential Cleaning.
- “Client” refers to any individual or business that books a cleaning service.
- “Services” refer to the residential and commercial cleaning services offered by Essential Cleaning.

2. Booking & Scheduling
2.1 Service Requests
- Clients can request a cleaning service via our website, phone, or email.
- Bookings are not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email or text from us and a valid form of payment is on file.
2.2 Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Clients must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.
- Last-minute cancellations (within 24 hours of the scheduled service) may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
2.3 Access to the Property
- We must assess a 50% fee when you don’t provide access to your
home the day of service (locked out). We recommend purchasing a lockbox, or providing
another form of entry as we do not accept keys.
3. Payment & Fees
3.1 Pricing
- For move out cleanings, initial cleanings, one time cleanings and monthly cleanings
we require a non refundable deposit the day that the appointment is scheduled, which will be
deducted from your balance the day of service. This applies to your first service only. All service
requires valid payment method on file.
3.2 Payment Terms
- Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon.
- We accept credit cards & debit cards.
3.3 Late Payments
- A late fee may be applied if there is an issue with payment, or the payment has been blocked.
4. Satisfaction Guarantee & Refunds
4.1 Quality Assurance
- We strive to provide high-quality cleaning services.
- If you are dissatisfied, notify us within 24 hours, and we will return to re-clean the area at no additional cost.
4.2 Refunds
- Refunds are issued at our sole discretion and are only considered in exceptional cases.
5. Liability & Damages
5.1 Liability Limitation
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or for damage resulting from normal cleaning procedures.
- We use non-toxic, safe cleaning products, but we are not liable for allergic reactions or sensitivities.
5.2 Breakage & Damage
- If accidental damage occurs, we will assess and address the issue on a case-by-case basis.
- Clients must notify us of any valuable or fragile items before the cleaning. If items are wobbly, tippy or otherwise unstable, we will not clean it.
6. Health & Safety
- We reserve the right to refuse service if a property presents unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- Our cleaners will not clean areas with mold, biohazardous materials, or pest infestations.
- For the safety of our staff, we ask that pets be secured during the cleaning.
7. Privacy & Confidentiality
- We respect your privacy and will never share your personal information with third parties without your consent.

8. Service Modifications & Termination
- We reserve the right to modify our pricing, services, and terms at any time.
- We may refuse service to anyone for violations of these Terms or inappropriate behavior.
9. Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA and any disputes will be handled within local jurisdiction.
