How do I know what kind of cleaning I need, and what frequency?
The cleaning your home needs depends on how dirty it is, and what your goals are. Homes that have not been professionally cleaned typically need a deep cleaning. There are various levels of deep cleaning we offer, and we would be happy to compare them with you.
Does your cleaning service include removing dog hair and cat hair?
Yes. Removing pet hair is part of the service. We will talk with you about your preferences and priorities, and tackle them accordingly.
Do you clean up pet messes?
No.
Do I have to clean my house before my cleaner gets here?
The service and pricing we offer you is based on the dirt level of your home on the first cleaning, and the effort required to maintain your newly cleaned home afterwards. We understand that life happens and we cant always be perfect! That’s what we’re here for. Picking up clutter around the home before your cleaning allows us to more accurately honor the specific service and pricing we agreed on. If you need help picking up clutter, let us know! We can include it in your estimate.
Will you guys empty my cats litterbox?
No.
Do you guys clean windows?
Yes.
Do you clean up pet messes if an accident happens?
No.
Can I schedule a cleaning last minute?
It never hurts to call us to see if we have availability! Last minute cancellations happen, so we welcome last minute bookings! Our working hours are 9-5pm, Monday – Friday. We’re happy to clean your small office on a Saturday!
Do you clean nicotine stains off surfaces?
Yes, this is something that can be done as a separate service, but is not included in our typical service offerings.
Do you clean walls?
Yes, we can clean walls that were painted in the last 25 years or so. Walls that have paint coming off of them when cleaning is attempted would not be a good candidate for cleaning. Please be aware that wall cleaning can make your wall paint look worse. Wall cleaning works best when you already have plans to paint, or do not care about imperfections occurring in the paint after cleaning.
Do you clean ceilings?
We can clean ceilings that are smooth, and up to 14ft. This is not a typical service offering and would be considered an add on service with separate pricing.
What do I do with my dog when my house gets cleaned?
It’s always in your dogs best interest to be at doggy daycare or with another dog professional during our cleaning time. If this is not a possibility, containing your dog in a separate room is best. Dogs typically get stressed when people are working in the home, but they don’t always show it. Your dog will thank you for removing a stressor from their environment, and containing them during the cleaning or sending them to one of the many highly qualified doggy daycares in the Portland area is the best way to do that.
Do I have to provide the supplies?
Our company provides everything except the toilet brush and the vacuum. We have found that carrying vacuums house to house, along with a toilet brush – does two things that we don’t agree with or want to promote. The first thing is waste. We don’t believe that having a cleaning company means that it’s excusable to unnecessarily purchase products that just end up with a short life cycle and subsequently end up in the landfill. Vacuums and toilet brushes are both items that the majority of households already have; so the constant repurchase and reuse of these items isn’t a practice we are interested in adopting. The second part of this has to do with cleanliness, and having high standards. Carrying around toilet brushes and vacuums that are used in other peoples homes is simply unsanitary. Vacuums blow out air that was previously vacuumed up; this air contains particles and germs from previous residences. In our professional opinion it does not make sense to share vacuums in this way. After all, our goal is to clean and disinfect! Not spread around germs with our tools. In cases where a vacuum has to be provided we can assess this on a case by case basis, such as move out cleanings, but generally speaking you would have to provide a vacuum and toilet brush.
Can you include laundry?
Laundry is an add on service with separate pricing. We can take care of up to 3 medium sized basic, non-bleach loads, wash + dry + fold. Laundry is done in your home with your machines + preferred detergent on the day of your cleaning.
My space is small and won’t take more than an hour to clean. This will cost around $60, right?

Can you clean my carpets?
We do not offer carpet cleaning at this time.
What is non toxic cleaning?
Non Toxic cleaning simply refers to best practices that our company has adopted which eliminates the need for harsh chemicals. We typically use single ingredient products, or products with transparent labels that have been cross referenced with sites like EWG (environmental working group).
Your website says ‘safe for kids and pets’. Can my kids and my pets hang out during the cleaning?
We thoroughly enjoy the families we meet. Over the years we have met many kids, many dogs and cats, and built really great relationships. Kids are always curious about what we’re doing and sometimes have lots of questions. Pets can be the same, and this behavior can change if kids and pets’ are together, or separate. In order to provide the best possible service – and to be as consistent as possible in delivering excellent service – its best to keep kids and pets’ away from the home on cleaning day (or in a separate area of the home). When we say our service is safe for kids and pets’, we mean that the products used in the home are safe to use on a regular basis in their home environment.
